as far as retro games go, not much recently. I have Metroid prime on it, but then the remaster came out so I just play that. Pokemon Clover and Tenkaichi 4 are fun to play on it

Nugget Doom works pretty well. Sadly any wad launcher other than zdl I find to be buggy. Nugget has full controller support though.

There's a Linux version of GZDoom and it has controller support. User error is the only possible way it wouldn't work on Steam Deck.
The Windows version of GZDoom probably runs in Proton too, if you want to be stupid like that.

I've been emulating various NES games, but it's kinda bulky for that and the d-pad isn't good enough, so I ordered a DS flashcard for them. I was kinda hoping it could just be an all around emulator for every console but I guess I'll mostly end up using it for 3D games.

Doom 64 is kicking my ass and I died at the end of the final boss while getting the achievement.
It doesn't help that I never got the secret hidden keys either.

Been sort of thinking about one of these after I got to borrow my brother's Switch over summer some, and I played a lot of Wild Guns on that. Hated the ergos on the Switch, are they better on the N-Gabe?

>>10193663
Meh, if it was the old Super Game Boy borders I could see the complaint, those were nice, but that's just a generic pretend Game Boy border, might as well max screen size.

>> No.10199019

The start is probably the weakest part of the game. When you get out of the tech bases (some having irritating puzzles) you get the hell levels in which the game picks up. On the other hand it feels more like Doom 1 than Doom 2 due to not having chaingunners, revenants or archviles. You really start feeling the limited roster as you plug away at hell Knights/barons in a hallway.

Far better, the thing just feels like a very wide gamepad thanks to it having proper handles. A bit heavy, but if you don't have tiny bitch wrists you won't have a problem.

I liked it. Like the other anon said it starts off pretty slow, but it definitely ramps up in terms of difficulty and level design the further you go, with only a few mercy levels near the end. There's also plenty of aspects where you can tell the devs had fun catching the player with their pants down in the form of monster closets or trap doors, so keep on the look out for those.
Lost souls in this game though can suck my balls.

I only got the 'eam 'eck for long air and boat travel, in-transit and at my destination. Being able to dual boot W2G from an SD card makes it a decent laptop alternative for much less space.

I've played through Goldeneye and Perfect Dark a couple of times on emulators. Grew up with those games, know them by heart.
This is the best way to play them:

Gyro and portability are just the perfect combo. It does become shitton more easy, but not as braindead as playing with a mouse. Would recommend on Perfect Agent.
The decompilation is probably about to yield some cool results soon, but for the base games you need nothing more than this.
