The only game. I thought it was a fanmade ripoff of Super Bomberman for years.

Well, I’m not one of those people. While the first Bomberman on NES is iconic, II is way better. More graphical variety, better controls, more (and great sounding) music, battle mode. I get bored of the first one after stage 5, so I never beat that one.
But the PC Engine games and all the Super games are better, but still a great NES game.
>>10187998
I know, it’s crazy. I consider myself a huge Bomberman fan, but I’ve only played a little over 30 of the games. Can’t decide on a favorite because I enjoyed many of them.

I watched the 8 hour video essay going over every single bomberman game and I didnt retain a goddamn thing. Except I found out after 30 years Bomberman is a robot with a TV screen face. And Bagura is probably the professor who made Bomberman and Black and Honey Bomber is his daughter.

And Konami made the games incestual. And theres a weird super sentai PSP game. So nothing useful like what the fuck games I should play

>I consider myself a huge Bomberman fan, but I’ve only played a little over 30 of the games

Same bro. And I wouldn't really rush to play all of them, considering we don't have Hudson around anymore. I'd rather taste them slowly.

I'll admit that i'm a third-worlder who started with 100in1 carts and original Bomberman, so I always would be biased towards it, but I just love the simplicity of concept. How you slowly turn from weak and scared creature to almighty machine of death transcending time and bricks by collecting power-ups.

Bomberman II is great for... introducing multiplayer and Kurobon to the series, I guess. It's a milestone, just lesser known one.

Play Super Bomberman 3 or Saturn for classic experience, Tournament if you want jRPG, Max if you want classic + Pokemon collecting. 64 and Online for experimental stuff and Hero if you want to get weird.

Shitting on third worlders on a retro board is dumb as fuck because a lot of these dudes played retro games way more and way longer than the rest of us out of necessity or sopa de Macao (uma delicia) national pride or whatever.

Unironically theyre more retro pilled than half this board

I watched the same video and it's impressive how varied and consistent the Bomberman franchise is. Most of the games look quite fun and there are only a few ones that actually look boring or annoying. Also, Practically, there's a Bomberman for you no matter what your favorite genre is.
That says a lot about how good Hudson Soft was in its golden age. To be honest, I only know them from Bomberman, Adventure Island, Bonk and Mario Party. I wonder what the rest of their games are like.

That sounds about right. I feel that because of that reason, where I live most people have a bigger nostalgia for those retro games and characters even when they finally buy modern hardware. Not to mention video game prices (and the consoles themselves) are quite expensive, unless you become a PC gamer and suck on Steam's e-cock. Of course you can always run whatever mysterious .exe that's "a false positive" 100% all of the time. People don't give a flying fuck about IT security here. Thanks first world Linux anons for redpilling me years ago.
