Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin (1991)
We're all familiar with Spider-Man nowadays, it's a huge IP in pretty much all forms of media, and video games have also been a huge part of that, with Insomniac's recent titles... but before there were all of these new and genuinely good Spider-Man video games, most of them were... subpar, to say the least. In 1991 this changed with this particular installment, so I'd say it's quite huge for that reason alone, also I recall reading that at some point about 2 in 3 Mega Drive owners had a copy of it, though this was early on in the console's life span, anyways mobility is fantastic, control feels tight and responsive, you can do anything you'd expect this character to do, you take photos for the Daily Bugle to afford more supplies to make your web, you rest at your apartment so you restore health, there are tons of classic villains in interesting boss fights that all have a trick you need to figure out, webslinging feels lovely... it's just an overlooked classic.

Not enough SEGA games here. No OutRun, Virtua Racing, Shining in the Darkness, or Columns, surprisingly not even Altered Beast. Not a single Capcom game and a distinct lack of western games like Cool Spot and Earthworm Jim which are both cheap and worth owning

Finally, if you are going for a huge collection, it is probably better to just emulate. You don't need to physically own every game, it's kind of wasteful after a certain point

But I have the only good Outrun game on Mega Drive. Not a fan of crap arcade ports, western console games and especially western platformers. Couldn't care less how cheap games are either, I only buy games I enjoy.

It's like he is ignoring half of the library just because they are popular or common games. Doesn't even have Ms. Pac-Man

Most of the games in OP are common fare that everyone here talks about constantly. It's not like he's got ports of Amiga games like Gods, Galahad (Leander on Amiga), Shadow of the Beast 1 & 2, Faery Tale Adventure, Flashback, Battle Squadron, etc. I bought most of those games though, back when I had a Sega Genesis in the 90's.
I probably would have been better off with just an Amiga 500, but disk-swapping was a bitch. Still, should have just tolerated it and saved myself a bunch of money.

Exquisite taste. Add Shining in the Darkness, maybe Arrow Flash or Sorceror's Kingdom.

God that Mercs case makes me nostalgic. I used to play that game every day after school.

A girlfriend.

if you meant megadrive games, maybe X-Men 1-2, Decapattack, Columns, Super Hang-On, Comix Zone, Ecco Tides of Time, The Ooze, Road Rash 2, Puyo Puyo Tsuu, Eternal Champions, Cyborg Justice, the Yu Yu Hakusho game whatever it is called.
If you like platformers, Vectorman 1 (the 2nd one sucked), Toejam & Earl 1-2 (first game is weird, 2nd game is funky platforming), and I personally liked Chuck Rock 2, Incredible Hulk, Spiderman Animated Series (it's fine on a console, the sound is only shit on emulators), Garfield Caught in the Act, and Sonic Spinball.

you get points for having Sub-Terrania, Mercs, Alisia Dragoon and Ex Ranza though. tip, for Ex-Ranza, get the US release titled Ranger X. It has extra difficulties, extra endings, and fixes a game breaking bug on the last level.
