What are your thoughts on the blue-collar era of Mario games (1981-1985)?

I've been playing tons of Donkey Kong lately. Just wish the NES version had the cake stage (playing on a Famiclone handheld)

I played lots of DK on DK64.
The only weird thing it has (that's easily visible) is that the colors are more reddish rather than purple.

Yeah, I have a few of the OG game and watchs to look fun on the shelf and occasionally boot up for a giggle but this is the good shit right here. Emulate or OG hardware, either is beautiful.

i always wanted to get into the G&W handhelds
even as a 16 yr old kid with my first job
they were always out of my price range
i think they still are for many of them honestly
i probably will still get ONE or two just to hoard
simple fun games like this were what tiger electronics failed to get right most of the time

the gameboy carts are all excellent
there is a port of the "ball" game on gb camera
i spent far too much time fucking around with that one
