you play as Italian (irish) Dante doing work for the mafia in a universe with vampires that have bullet time powers
the game plays like Max Payne if he was a ""character action"" game, you can unlock and upgrade skills with red orbs just like DMC, the difficulty is balls off the wall (but mostly fair), and you have multiple characters with different moves.

the soundtrack and sfx is also pretty good if a bit low budge with obvious samples and stock sounds, the voice acting is also hilarious

The one thing I remember the most about this game was pirating it off the internet way back then but it was some shitty hacked ISO that replaced all the FMVs with the intro movie, presumably to save space or some shit. I remember being very confused why the intro movie keep playing over and over with unrelated dialog on top of it, could never find a proper untouched ISO until years later.

So I'm trying this game on your suggestion, but the slowdown is almost unbearable and the camera is a mess. It does have some interesting choices, I might bother finishing it. Not a great game at all but maybe it'll pick up later.
