The kid from home alone thinks the Turbografx-16 is better than Nintendo:

Not enough games, maybe in other territories it was better, but not in the US

It has better graphics, sound and games than the NES so he's kinda right...

Lad of taste.
The Game Boy was solid, but knowers would pair it with a different company's home console, be it the TG16, SEGA's Mega Drive, or PSX.

I remember one time my best friend's girlfriend brought over her older brother's old TG-16 along with a couple of games. It was the first time I'd ever seen one, let alone play with one. We played the absolute shit out of Parasol Stars, a very based game. My friend's GF in particular really got attached to it, and she got better at it than I did. We managed to get the real ending, too, thanks to her persistence.

And he’s right

I remember a movie in which a kid was playing Contra with a black NES, yeah, BLACK!

Does anyone knows what movie is?

I haven't played it in a while. Mostly like it for the CD games like Sapphire and Cotton, but it has a few good TurboChip games too like Magical Chase and Coryoon. Anyway thanks for sharing OP, felt wild watching this in 2023. I know Tony Hawk did a Turbo commercial but never knew Mccaulay was into it too

This was my system as a kid. Has Order of the Griffon, a rare D&D title.
