I got married around 10 years ago. My wife asked what gift I wanted for our first Christmas together and I struggled to think of something. Going into a new stage of life always makes me feel nostalgic, so I gave her a small list of retro games that I didn't own (I have a decent collection) and she bought me Demon's Crest.
Something about playing a "new" SNES game in the snowy early hours of Christmas morning while my wife got ready was unparalleled levels of cozy to me.

Replaying everything i enjoyed as a kid 20+ years ago. My 2.5 year old has been watching me play bof 4. When i come downstairs after work. She'll run to the crt and turn it on, grab my controller and sit on the couch and say "here papa". I sif down, with her in my lap, and she cuddles up while we play. I dont think it could be any comfier for me, anons. Ill cherish these memories

I was thinking about posting a screenshot from one of the levels in "Legend of Illusion" starring Mickey Mouse, for Game Gear and Master System, but I couldn't decide which one, there are so many levels there that look comfortable and sound just as relaxing too, it's by far the easiest installment in the Illusion series, the Disney/SEGA classic from the 90's, and I know that to many this could be disappointing, but to me this makes it so replayable, it's something I know I'll start up and enjoy from start to finish in a comfortable and sweet manner, if you haven't ever played this one... I can't recommend it enough.

Almost the same with my 2 year old. She loves to fall asleep for her nap in my lap while I play old racing games. I recommend children to anyone interested in enjoying life to the fullest. Truly, Jesus made us an amazing place.

I'd say this is genuinely living the dream, I'm happy for you, and your wife seems nice, it's common for women to hate video games and almost compete with them for the man's time when the relationship starts, getting worse in future years... Rayman 3 was great, it was more than the sum of it's parts. Yeah it was lacking polish, but had a great sense of humor and memorable moments. Compared to Rayman 2, it's a much better game.

From the leaked prototypes of 4, it seemed like it was going to be more of the same which would have been great. Damn shame Ubisoft forced them to switch gears.
