Apparently ZoE2 was optimized for 50hz for PAL release and has a more stable framerate than the 60hz version

Those are the only cases not already mentioned I can remember other than minor stuff like Xbox having the ability to use PAL colors with 60hz signals (not outright using NTSC) thus making PAL copies that support the latter marginally better, or ocasional region-specific versions of games with extra stuff like some PAL copies of SotC, Ico, Silent Hill 2, Xenosaga 2, etc.

Each frame being bigger and showing for longer allows the refined & intellectual PAL gamer to savour each and every facet of the world the developers have created, immersing themselves in a pure sensory bliss. Low IQ Americans, on the other hand, lack focus and require constant stimulation (due to being raised on diet coke rather than breast milk), resulting in their games being rushed, unfulfilling experiences that are over almost as quickly as they've begun.

You misunderstand, NTSC pleb.

PAL pixels are absolutely 17.3% larger, making the CRTs in PAL regions proportionally bigger and significantly superior to your 3rd world junk.

Not only that the audio encoding in PAL-B broadcast is actually 44.1khs digital audio and has been since the 1970s. Don't you get Dolby Atmos on free to air? You need to move to a PAL region too.

The best part of being in a PAL region is actually hidden due to a CIA conspiracy though. PAL encoded radio waves are knoen to cure CANCER. Just look at the statistics of incidents of all kinds around the world.

Even Mario runs faster in PAL versions, unlike Sonic because he's a commie. WAKE UP people you have been lied to for so long.

This, essentially. The extra FPS in NTSC is little more than a lucky break though

It's a well-known fact in the broadcast biz that the FCC pig shunners divided up and rent out the useful radio frequency spectrum to the highest bidder. This preexists any vidya consoles. It is a matter of plain greed that they took the original PAL spec and literally gutted it by removing the chrominance channel just to squeeze more paying broadcasters in. In fact, extra FPS of NTSC was basically visual artefacting but you can't really tell the difference if your eyes are too close together. The most damming bit for those old enough to remember was to have to use a thing called V hold just to stabilise the picture back in the day before TV's learned to cope with this new bastadised standard.

I only got overweight when living in an NTSC country and playing it a lot. I'm not saying that it was having to watch the extra 20% of frames while eating dinner and playing, but I had to do something while it was happening and eating more somehow seems the obvious outcome so it would be imprudant not to at least acknowledge the relationship between these factors.

One thing you left out was the lack of scan lines in early PAL displays. There simply is no need for them owing to the higher resolution. Even relatively low resolution Commodore 64 games like Arcadia and BC Bill looked more like games on oled screens and were effectively unable to be replicated on NTSC systems and still remain playable. It didn't take long for Japanese manufacturers to cave into the demands of their American overlords though. By and by they installed aperture grilles or similar tech to recreate scanlines on PAL sets. This was done largely in order to prevent the masses from knowing what they were missing out on and demanding similar tech which would both shatter the illusion of US world dominance and simultaneously reduce their HFCS usage in the chaos

I feel like I'm replying to bait here...
NTSC color predates PAL as we know it today. NTSC and PAL both have similar bandwidth for chrominance, they both chose to use a standard based on full luma, half color so they only needed 2 channels instead of 3. The difference is that with NTSC there was an issue with signal propagation and the color would drift in a way that was impossible to detect and correct leading to the necessity of a tint control. PAL was ratified later and so they corrected the flaw and this allows PAL color to be more accurate and richer.
The V-hold tweaking was due to 60Hz vs. 59.94Hz. Pre-NTSC black & white broadcasts were 60Hz, allowing for variations in broadcast equipment. But due to interference from the color carrier signal it was decided to "slow down" the FPS to 59.94Hz so that the color carrier didn't cause ugly rolling interference. If your TV didn't do it automatically then if you swapped between different channels you might have to adjust V-Hold. In PAL color & B&W were both the same 50Hz so there was no issue. Again, lessons learned.
This tends to be the pattern throughout history. America moves first and has to support an inferior standard for a long time. Europe/Japan move second and get a superior standard at the expense of losing out on 1st mover advantage. America makes all the money up front then slowly bleeds it out accommodating their flawed system for decades, Europe makes less money but gains the cheaper, easier to maintain system with more adaptability.

PAL still has scanlines. On an early enough CRT with plenty of blooming they can be harder to see, but when you're comparing non-interlaced 240p to 276p they are definitely more visible.
Also remember that 625i PAL vs. 576i NTSC is more recent relatively speaking. We didn't bust out the gate at 625i, there were other line counts that faded away as we settled on UHF nationwide. 625i was certainly preferable over the far more prominently scanlined precursors.
And well, shadow mask displays were by far the most common. Only Sony could make Trinitron and they certainly sold by the container-load in PAL territories because people liked the sharpness and brightness, scanlines and 50Hz flicker be damned. Later when the patents expired and all the other manufacturers started making their own Aperture grills we were into the digital age so they were mostly 100Hz and progressive scan displays with digital upscaling.
