What are some good PC Engine CD games? Just beat Star Parodier (easy but very soulful) and I'm probably going to play Lords of Thunder next

Could anyone give me some advice on how to emulate PC Engine CD games?
I tried to load the rom with and without using 7zip to archive the files but I can't seem to get it to work.
I'd really love to play Beyond Shadowgate at some point.

lot of good shooters and RPGs, though some of the RPGs are still untranslated. Blood Gear is one of the best games of the generation though, and you don't really need english to play it

the other half of the shooters, and the vast majority of the platformers, are all on hucard

pretty good list. strider is a disappointing port but still has cool extras. tenchi wo kurau and chiki chiki boys are less disappointing capcom ports
i'd add rainbow islands, it has a unique save feature making it easier to go back and get all the gems
also add river city ransom

Same with SEGA CD and 32X, all you need are the BIOS files. I think just syscard1.pce and syscard3.pce should do the trick

you can run it in bizhawk, retroarch, open emu, or your software of choice
i use the mister most of the time
the arcade card is rare but can be found cheaper than a NiB ps5 \ xbone title
worth it

fun game, the street fighter mechanics are unique and the graphics are fantastic

the first game feels more like a shmup version of alien soldier (20 big bosses with enemy waves in between)
