I found an advertisement for Pulseman in the box for a game I picked up recently and it advertises the game as being called "Spark". It's interesting to see the changes that games go through before they're released.

That was the game's original name. It was changed because "Spark" was not trademarkable.
Fun fact: the enemy Pulseman is dashing to in the first screenshot does not exist in the final game.

I have a question about Sabrina, the Teenage Witch: A Twitch in Time! on PS1. Here is a screenshot I took of the final boss.

However when I looked up reviews of the game I found this screenshot of the final boss painted different colours. So where is this screenshot from? Is it a beta version of the game? Or is my emulator broken and he's meant to be in colour?

In the top right it says "Spark (temporary [name])". Clearly the problem wasn't a trademark issue because it seems they already knew they wouldn't call it that.

This one makes me uncomfortable. I love the final version, I'm glad they changed it.

isn't 7800 yen crazy expensive for a megadrive game in 94?

>> No.10125651

>>10125624
No. Most SNES games were around 10,000 yen.

It's more than that, the entire ROOM Pulseman is in doesn't show up in the final game, nor are any of the tilesets for it. It's probably just a mockup screenshot.
