I don't think that's an interactive fiction, more like a house simulator. I think it would have been better if were say, an older/younger brother playing Sherlock trying to find out how your sister was murdered or something.

Have you played Slouching Towards Bedlam? It's fantastic, especially when you get to the end.

Walker and Silhouette was on my list to complete, I stopped playing it (god knows why) but it was a ton of fun. Also anything Andrew Plotkin is typically godtier.
