I played it once just for the name and surprisingly it's OK. graphics are very polished, but the level design is dull.

if you want some true deranged 90's scotformer "hidden gem" then try Super Alfred Chicken.

This game is surprisingly fun and challenging even though the first thing that went into my head when I dipped my toe into the first level was "this is a game for toddlers isn't it". Also, the awesome orchestral BGMs are a perfect fit for the SNES.

This got me to load up all the ports. Of note, the GBC version is oddly high quality and converts the game to 8bit as well as one could hope for, giving it a fresh aesthetic and sound. They also didn't scaled the graphics down in a way that suits the GBC resolution. SNES < Gen. Also nice to see a Gen game that doesn't lean on magoovision to look good.

Gave it a go and ended up finishing it (well, 2 secret cans aside). Mostly great but I wish the later levels were more about difficult platforming and less maze switch bullshit. But thats just personal taste and its not like they use crazy labyrinths, its just a little tedious.

Does Rare just grow bored with/start to hate their productions, resulting in them shitting all over the established tone and effectively sabotaging the broad marketability of the franchise? Rool's asshole, thereby killing the franchise entirely.
