yeah good luck with that. How do you play games like The Legend of Zelda. I imagine they really have to shrink the touch controlls to fit everything on the screen, then you can't even see what you're playing with the combination of your fingers all over the screen and those touch controlls. I know there are control pads you can buy but it defeats the purpose of asking the question, plus a lot of people use the touch controlls anyways.

The game collection is two layers deep with my PS2, 360, DS, PSP, 3DS (boxes only), etc being behind my PS3 games (I play those most.) I have PS1 and SNES games in a drawer and GBC/GBA games in the closet. I usually emulate SNES on my PC so no need for a CRT monitor. As a college grad...this is an awesome set up...but honestly, I'd take most of it home if you can. Especially if you are living with anyone else. You dont want your stuff to go missing. I had to restart my N64 collection because an old roommate saw my N64, got an n64 lot off ebay, mashed all our stuff together and then left at the end of the year with most of everything. The only thing I got back were things that there were 2 of, common games and staples, but my Mischief Makers, Conkers, Banjo...rarer games. GONE.

Lesson learned. Keep your stuff at home until you have a place of your own with WAY more privacy.

Also college is for studying, friends, girls, and partying. Lay off the games a bit and do that. Keep common stuff though, coming back from a party with chinese food and saying "Wanna play Mario Kart" is an EASY way to make friends.

I have my own room
trust me, I've lived in a triple for the past 2 years, and all I had was ONE of my original toasters, and just a few of the games that I really love playing. They stayed in a box under my bed. My roommates were goo about it, though. One of them had a small genesis collection, too.

psh, girls... if I had the capacity to interact with women without them vomiting and running away, I probably wouldn't have all this stuff.

And one of my buddies who is also into retro lives literally RIGHT across the hall from me, also in a single room. We can open our doors and yell at each other. We're planning on doing some lets plays for shits and giggles. That's what the computer is there for.

Why have both the PC Engine Duo R and a PC Engine on the same shelf though? Why not replace the PC Engine with something else? Your setup is quite aesthetically pleasing, but it seems redundant to include the regular PC Engine. You should get an X'Eye or CDX to replace the plain PC Engine.

Nice desk setup!

Here's mine, boys. It's from 2 months ago, but since I have to go out soon, I can't take a picture right now. I've added a Wii U to my desk which is placed ontop of my 360. I now have a working SNES, GCN, and Genesis, but I really don't know how where to place them so that I may play on them. I did just right now think of this as I was typing this... but perhaps I may put them UNDER my desk below the TV (next to my receiver)?
However, playing them on my HDTV severely impacts the picture, but I have no room for a CRT.

My particular one, yes, as it's a broken FDS I used as a case for a retropie project. Re-routed the Pi's HDMI and power outputs to fit the existing ports on the back, made two ports for USB reproduction famicom controllers and hooked up the original LED to come one whenever it has power! Still haven't managed to get games to save, though...

I love the FDS, so it gets played most- pretty much makes my NES, SNES, Master System and Megadrive obsolete. (But then, my XBMC Xbox makes this obsolete, in turn!)

Dunno why some thumbnails are sideways, but if you have image expansion enabled they orient themselves correctly when expanded.

Anyway, here's my old consoles/current gen and computers/pong consoles on the bottom. My odyssey 300 and some other random pong console are kinda buried though.

I was taught that plurals of abbreviations use apostrophes.

Just looked it up. NYtimes says yes to apostrophes. grammar-monster.com says no. Oxford says no. As I continue through sources I find more saying both are acceptable. It looks like you are probably right and we all owe you an serious apology.

Mine likes to stick open too for whatever reason. I just pinch it with my thumb on the front tab, and my finger behind it on the back side, and push in and pull down. It may also be caught at a weird angle, mine gets stuck like that too, like its tilted one way or another.

I hope that helps. If need be, I'll make a video or something explaining it. Because you're not the first one to ask me the same thing.

Also, here's my handhelds and organizer bins with games, controllers, etc etc.

Honestly? I just sorta aquire them. I keep finding them at yard sales etc for $1 or 50cents. So I just fix them up, since most are either not working or super dirty. Then I give them away to my friends who want one or something. I'm an electrical engineer, and handhelds are one of my favorites to work on and one of my specialties. See those DMG's? All but one of them worked when I got them. Now, all of them work flawlessly. I could work on DMGs all day I love it so much.

Everything can output RGB, except for the NES.
Also TV is a Sony KV-C2521D from ca. 1991, the power strip on the bottom right belongs to the whole setup.
The thing behind the TV on the right is a Super Advantage and the left side should be obvious.

ever beat safari hunt?

once you get 1 million points, the game says

"Now join the REAL hun!" (yes, the typo is there)

the key is when you do the jungle levels, you need to aim primarily for the panthers who zoom across the screen. it builds enough points so that other levels really don't matter
