To me it was just too piss-easy and destroyed the balance of the game which is what makes FF1 stand out. I'm always impressed at how money actually matters in the NES version which is way, WAY too rare in nearly all RPGs. The remaster was just generic "mash a to win random battles" JRPG# 2195791. It does look nice though.

Origins/PS1 version has the old spell system, difficulty settings and nice graphics/music but unfortunately it didn't fix the intelligence bug. Dashing and redirecting attacks are also settings you can toggle off if you want, which is kind of funny.

Not that anon, but it's not that hard. I can give you series, not just individual works. Lord of the Rings series, Sword of Truth series, Harry Potter series, Spellsinger series, and the Indian in the Cupboard series. Not all fantasy works are blended with sci-fi like D&D or the Dragonriders of Pern series.
