>>10085883
They have the rights. Maybe if they sell a lot they will make new games like they did with Shante. A lot of it is wanting a physical game even if it is for switch. I was going to get the megadrive mini but they had all sold out anyway but the roms for that would be a very small % of the cost of that system. If the developer did sell those roms on steam for $10 I would buy them, it would encourage them to make more. I'd say its only a ripoff if they do nothing to improve the roms, with Jim Power genesis they finished off the incomplete game which is why I thought the Jim power collection was well worth it.

shut up paypiggy

oink oink oink, who's a little paypiggy? Good little consumer, good little piggy. Smells like swine..yet somehow lower than dirt.

Piracy will always win. Piracy is game preservation, game archival, and it will not be stopped. The mighty denuvo has fallen and so shall any other copy protection that will work on a 16-bit processor. You really think you can beat us? Look at how much money Denuvo makes yearly. They get pumped like your mom at a frat party. Yet with all that money spent on development, those games still get cracked.. you know why? Because if it exists, and the data is in front of me, I *WILL* fucking have it. If the data is on my computer, on my disk, it's as good as mine. You can use your little tricks to keep out normies, but your foolish tricks don't work on me, paypiggy. I'll have your code doing *my* bidding and there's nothing you can ever do to stop me. And here's the thing, say you do keep *me* out- you've got a million other people who are even nerdier and geekier than me- in fact I wouldn't even bother with this sorta thing myself, I'd rather program something meaningful- but you'll never keep out the *real* pirates. The real scene hackers have been doing this sorta thing since the first two games came out, and you won't stop them. It's no use and it's a waste of money to spend anything on DRM. Digital Restrictions Meme will die like the dinosaur and nobody will miss it.. all it's done is made it harder for people to play these damn games. I'm actually the type of person that will grab a game on gog if they don't try some stupid shit like this. In fact the only software I use that's pirated these days are games not on GOG or games that are overpriced on steam/designed for older platforms yet somehow still on steam

Too bad they went with the Lame Gear and we're stuck with shit PSG sound and an extremely tiny resolution window.

some companies are releasing NEW games for OLD consoles
to avoid chinese hackers creating repros and selling them for cheap, these roms are obfuscated to not work on emulators aside from the ones created by the companies themselves
this fucked over even legit buyers, who were unable to rip the roms and play them elsewhere (like on pc, on your phone or on a retro handheld)
one of those releases has finally been cracked, and the rom can now be easily played everywhere
this is good for preservationists, repro sellers, casual pirates and pretty much everybody else

I haven't 1cc'd the special difficulty modes, though, with suicide bullets. So that's just off the default games.

Thanks for the input anon.
I thought new releases for old consoles were mostly a hobbyst thing.

Anyway, is there a decent website to keep track of them?

Nobody mentioned this but the rom is lacking a sound channel. The music isn't working correctly.

You've only played this with savestates for 10 minutes then forgot about it in your rom folder.
That is why the little badges and leaderboard is so important, it encourages actually learning the game.

Sounds like we should make this issue about it widespread. Don't want any more fake "good cracks" like this, and hopefully someone can fix it if this issue about it becomes known.
