>buy aladdin for sega mega drive
>used to play it at a friends house when I was a kid but never had my own copy
>open it
>original warranty card still inside
>folded note in there that looks like it hasn't been opened in 10 years
>they actually made the effort to write game codes on note paper and left it in the game case rather than writing it in the book

you ever find any cool or weird shit in used vidya before /v/?

I have no idea why this came out like it did, but I couldn't be bothered fixing it or taking another. I hope this shit isn't cursed.

Wait so you took a picture and that little distortion on the bottom happened on its own? That's some borderline creepypasta shit bro.

>> No.1004775

Maybe its a dead kids game. Also I love finding notes like this with passwords etc.

I used to have a boxed Jurrasic Park that included some codes, that i never utilized.

>> No.1005069

One mega drive game I got from eBay had a sheet of cheats inside, torn out from gamesmaster mahazone.

And my copy of Urban Strike came with passwords for every level, but never used them - felt it defeated the point

>> No.1005081

i got a copy of a video game for the gamecube and i opened it up and inside it was a folded up video game ad one of those barely covered naked chicks for PlayStation ads

>> No.1005082

I have a Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine manual that someone wrote passwords on. The notes section is full of em, they even wrote on some pages in the middle.

I bought a copy of Crash 3 for the PS1 and opened it to find Spyro 2 (Wasn't complaining, only £1 to buy and I needed Spyro 2 anyway.)

I bought a copy of Doom for the PS1 and opened it to find Doom and a copy of GTA: San Andreas for the PS2. Free game!

I got a copy of Starflight for the Megadrive and the guy who I bought it from had put hints on the map that came with it, and had even kept the original receipt for the game. He paid £19.99 for it in 1992 at a Dixons.

>> No.1005137

>>1005096

I would be mad as fuck if my starflight map had shit doodled on it. Took me forever to find a decent priced CIB copy

>> No.1005140

It was only one or two circles, it was otherwise pretty decent. A hole in one fold but nothing unreadable, far better condition than I would have expected for the whole deal (Bought it with a load of games and the Megadrive w/Mega CD console)

>> No.1005175

Let's see. My copy of Valkyria Chronicles smells like cake frosting(wish I was bullshitting but I am not). Also my DVD copy of Sailor Moon R The Movie smells like perfume(again wish I was bullshitting but I am not).

nothing real interesting, just a few instances where I found games still inside disc based consoles that the seller was unaware of. I bought a GameCube for $5 at goodwill before. didn't have cords or controllers, but it came with the gameboy advance player, and had Mario Party 6 in the console still.

My aladdin for genesis had the walkthrough from sega visions (I think) ripped out and placed inside it.

I used to always leave a note with any codes and other little tidbits of info on it tucked away in my game cases when I returned them to the rental store. It's more common than you think, sorry for your lack of childhood.

Actually not that strange, people perceive certain unknown smells a certain way. It's why most people think dried seamen smells like cleaning supplies.

>> No.1005234

I bought a copy of Vagrant Story years ago that had an advert for bouncy castle hire glued to the inside of the cover. I've always wanted to know what the deal with that was

I wish the games I find smelled like something other than cigarette smoke and "corner of an abandoned garage". Cake would be nice.

I recently bought a copy of Doom II from a charity shop. It was one of the big box versions and inside was the CD's and manuals for Sam and Max Hit the Road and Syndicate. Best £1 I ever spent

I picked it up mint for just £5.

Because a kid writing down codes and leaving them in the game's case is apparently really absurd.
