The Nintendo Famicom turns 40 on July 15th.
What are some of your favorite Famicom/NES/Dendy games?

Been playing tons of Mario 1, Mario 3, and Tengen Tetris on my Game Box Plus lately. Previously was playing mostly Gun Nac, Double Dragon II, and Poke Tetris on a similar device. I prefer Mega Man 3 over any of those, though. Kira Kira Star Night DX is good too

Can anyone explain to me how Sunsoft could create a literal masterpiece in Batman, and then become a kusoge dev overnight? It's like Fester's Quest killed the company outright

Fester's Quest is really not that bad, I thought it was fun in fact, and I did play the US version (without the shoot through walls fix).
With that said Sunsoft didn't became "kusoge" over night, in fact it's the contrary. The word Kusoge was invented for a Sunsoft game and then they got an entire new dev team and started making good games.

I beat Abadox yesterday and I didn't like it very much. The final stage was HELL.
By Sunsoft I still have to beat Super Spy Hunter, I reached a stage with some turrets that rape me every time

I had no idea Space Harrier had an NES version, I thought it may have been impossible in fact but I guess it's one of those Fantasy Zone situations

Yeah it's a bit ugly and has bad slowdown (obviously), but it's actually fun all things considered — more than you can say for the SMS or Euro 8-bit computer ports...

I rgb modded mine a year ago and I've been procrastinating putting the shell back on because I want the eject lever to continue working, but I have no idea how to accomplish it. And I don't have a 3d printer to design a part
