Whether it's e-bay or in shops, everything is at awful prices nowadays, but nobody buys them for the longest time for the most part... and of course when somebody gets a game he wants to sell he'll jsut base himself on the other prices she sees and try to sell it for as much. They've been fluctuating between 15 and 35 dollars for a long ass time and most shops that still carry GBA games will not surprisingly only carry the Pokemon GBA games.

I would say my local shop is a mixed bag. I got the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia for 8 bucks. Thats pretty fair. But they want 30 bucks a pop for all of the Playstation Final Fantasy's including the anthology series and I can go to Amazon which is expensive in its own right and get every last one of em for 6-15 dollars a piece.

I live in Canada and I buy shit from the US all the time. It costs less here, even including shipping costs. For example, I just bought a copy of the Game Gear Shinobi for $5 + $5 shipping (loose). The same game here even online is $15 + $5 shipping. Straight up double the cost, for no reason.

There was a stall at my uni selling retro games a few weeks ago, about $30-35 for incredibly common games like Pokemon RBY

I only just learned yesterday that one of my acquaintances stole something like 30 games from that stall.

Sorry, basically I bought half of what the lady was selling because I only wanted a Gameboy SP and Superstar sage. Then I went back to get the rest the next day and noticed a stack of boxes for some of the games I was buying, they were in a stack of cardboard and garbage. So i asked if I could have the boxes and pointed at them. The guy said yeah and he would bring it all up, he handed the games and gameboy to me in a plastic bag and I didn't realize he thought I meant a Cardboard box to keep the games and gameboy in and he most likely took the game boxes and other cardboard to the dump.

It was a good craigslist deal and I should have paid 80$ for it all the first time I went instead of second guessing myself and coming back again and not being clear that I wanted that "useless" cardboard that the games originally came boxed in.

Not "you'd be crazy to pay this" pricing, but I sometimes attach a value to games and other items that I would actually not mind keeping, then make them available for purchase at that price even it's not competitive.

There was a reseller at a flea market a few weeks ago who was asking $40 for NES/SNES games. When i asked why they were so expensive he said it was because they are so rare and that's what they sell for online since people want to relive their childhood memories.

The batteries for GSC died faster than the ones for RBY. Probably because the former had a clock running on top of keeping the save, whereas the latter just had a save. My Gold version died in like, 2007 or something but my Red version died pretty recently, like in 2011.

I have shit selection for retro games in the Ohio Valley, nothing but sports games and Mario Paint, but hot damn did I get lucky being able to find good N64 controllers for $15.
