Yes. It's a really unique game. Just sitting in the smoking car and overhearing other passengers is really comfy and immersive. And the more you play and and explore the game, both in space but also in time with the rewind feature, the more you as the player will pick up about the characters and everything going on.

Don't play the Gold version though. And take notes if you get stuck.

Love/hate-tier game for me. Started it probably 5 or 6 times and never finished. It sure has one of the best atmosphere among adventure games but the timer thing (even though it isn't that punishable) always made me nervous.
Yet I'm sure I will try to finish TLE again one day.

If your ability to appreciate a game includes an open mind and the basic discernment to understand and factor in context, then absolutely yes.

If what you look in old games is a similar experience to a modern game but with a "retro" look, then yeah better stay away from this one because you'll get neither in the way you expect.

Yeah it takes a while getting used to. And the puzzles are pretty hard too on top of it and often figuring out what to even do is a challenge. I ended up pretty much stalking and spying on every character in the game one at a time in increments, writing down everything they did or didn't do in like a timetable (fittingly), to help me find opportunities for the MC. I don't think everyone would consider that fun though, even though I did. And maybe it's possible to play it in a less autistic way, but it helped me.
