I bought a preowned PS2 copy of Soul Reaver 2 about 10 years back, and it was damaged in a way which made it impossible to proceed past the cutscene where you go back to see Janos Audron the second time. I never managed to finish it, specifically because it's such a fucking slog to get through. The demon enemies are abysmally unbalanced to fight, BO2 gets shat on for being terrible but somehow SR2 gets a pass every time.

That's what makes it so frustrating though. The kino story and dialogue of LoK are locked behind games whose gameplay have arguably aged like milk. Kain and Raziel need the game they deserve, and the only chance of that happening is with a Soul Reaver remake. and even then there's still a handful of things that could go wrong.

It's weird how much sound is missing in the cutscenes. Like when Kain turns into bats it's just completely silent. A lot of cutscenes also have no room tone. I thought my game was bugged at first.

Im trying to play blood omen and it just controls like shit to be honest. I don't really understand it at all. Feels way less responsive than zelda 1. I guess i just dont like the animation priority
