Sega CD and PSX/Saturn
Both versions are good,pick what graphics you like most and go with it.

For the first one, Sega CD and the Sayurn/PSX remake are both good. The original is a little rough, but solid. The remake is generally better but some gameplay changes are debatable. The PSP versionnis like a squished version of the PSX. The GBA is by far the worst in every way, even translation which is shocking.

For Lunar 2, unquestionably the Sega CD original is far better in almost every way. Whole sections are changed, music tracks are missing and far fewer animations and unique graphics overall. It's super weird how big the difference is between the two remakes.

I played the original version and loved it.
Started the PS1 version but dropped it when they turned the originally sweet meetup with Luna at the start into her just being a bitch. Lost all faith in the "port" there.

I've played both the original Sega CD game, and the SSS remake on Saturn/PlayStation.

I like the original game best. Yes, the inventory system is ass, but I feel it's the best overall package. SSS makes some changes I don't like, and it's not consistent with Eternal Blue.
