Next, you should play it on the intended difficulty. I didn't even know there was an easy mode, how did you never play CV1 but looked up the japanese cartridge release exclusive easy mode? These changes would make the game trivial.

>Your default amount of hearts is 30 instead of 5.
>You start with 9 lives per credit instead of 3.
>Less damage is taken from enemies and bosses.
>Bosses take double damage from regular attacks and subweapons.
>Getting hit no longer knocks you backwards. Instead, you just get frozen in place for a split second.
>You retain your subweapon and double/triple shot powerup upon death, though getting a game over will take away the latter.
>The double/triple shot powerups are retained when picking up a different subweapon.

Having it stun bosses is intended, but being able to stunlock them to death definitely isn't. They just didn't think about it, if they had, they would have at least done something like allow the boss to move a bit before being able to get stunned again.

Being able to do stunlock enemies to death only seems evident when you know about it. But in order to get there you need
>to keep the holy water
and everyone thinks it's a shit weapon
>keep it long enough and survive long enough to have at least Item II
and don't forget item II gets reset if you pick up another weapon
>then actually have to think of using it against bosses and keep using it in the right way, and have enough hearts for it; and in against some bosses you need to find the right spots for it to work as well

This is a lot of requirements which is why it was easily overlooked. Next you're going to pretend these are non issue, but the truth is, you only know about this exploit because you learnt about it on the internet. Most people don't find it on their own, which just proves how easily overlooked it is.

>> No.9956221

>>9956214
>next you're going to pretend these are non issue
They're issues because it's not very well designed
>most people don't find it on their own
I found it on my own because Death spawns in the same spot and you want to immediately start wailing on him with your subweapon. This isn't an exploit and it's not some secret outside the bounds of regular gameplay. Call it for what it is, cheap.
