Mostly true but not strictly true. I think playable Akuma in SNES Street Fighter Alpha 2 was only recently discovered, for example. Every so often a random thing will come out. Ed Boon still says that not every Mortal Kombat secret has been discovered though he's a known troll. That said SOTN is not one of those games.

you need to go into the final dungeon up to the first plot cutscene, then walk back out and talk to some person in a town, go back into the final dungeon to the next cutscene and walk back out, like 10 freaking times and you get a worthless at that point accessory for your trouble

man I gotta go find a guide. I swear I've traversed the whole thing for a couple hours, but I can't find how to turn into a bat and talk to this succubus or whatever? I've done Maria, Librarian, Ferryman, a handful of bosses, and I got the double jump, but I'm not seeing any new paths and the minor bosses didn't unlock any skills. sorry I know this is super vague, but any tips would be super appreciated!

The succubus is near the bottom right hand corner of the map, in the underground caverns iirc. There's a large vertical drop, you have to turn into a bat instead of falling down. She is in a purple coffin save room
