Compared to Halo the AI seems really bad for singleplayer but how does the online multiplayer mode (LAN) compare?

i'd also like to know how TS1's online (splitscreen) multiplayer mode is

>> No.9939447

>>9939442
Actually when you're doing splitscreen you're not connecting to a network aka "going online" but when you connect to LAN you are connecting to a network. The N in LAN stands for network.

>> No.9939459

>>9939447
I, respectfully, disagree. Using the latest modern emulation technology, it is now possible to play splitscreen games online. This means that TS1 supports online play.

>TS1 supports online play.
No, the disc and original hardware do not. Only ROMs and emulation of TS1 supports online play.

>> No.9939526

>>9939518
You can play the game online. That's all that matters. It's 2023. TS1 supports online.

>> No.9939557

>>9939526
Technically no, the game doesn't support online. But you can rip a ROM of it and use that to play online. That's not the actual game though it's just a digital file copy of it (think about if you took a video camera into a movie theater and filmed the projection screen, it's kind of like that).

You have some issues you need to work out on your own before posting where other people can read your messages.

online refers to being connected to the internet, not just any local network.

Why do you fags defend half life, cs, goldeneye, halo, fear, tf2, timesplitters and serious sam when real boomers like rpgcodex rightfully hates them?

Dictionary definition of online: adverb. by means of the internet or other computer network.
>or other computer network
Looks like you're objectively wrong. A computer is online to a network if it is connected to it. A LAN is a network. The Internet isn't the only network a computer can be online to.

>> No.9939762

>>9939751
Based, fuck "LAN" apologists. It shouldn't even be a term. It should be "network" enabled or nothing. You can play LAN over Xlink Kai versus people on the other side of the world... that's online. LAN niggers, it's over for you.

>> No.9939773

If it supports LAN, it kind of supports "online", since you can bridge two LANs over the Internet. This works with original hardware and everything. Only requirement is that the game handles latency well. Other than that it won't even know that 192.168.1.2 is actually hundreds of miles away and not in the same room.

>> No.9939798

>>9939773
>LAN is, in fact, online
Based, as it should be.
I hereby vote to redefine LAN as "Large Area Network".

In this context online means over the Internet. Everything else is wrong.
>>9939762
LAN only makes things much simpler so there is very much a difference. Using tricks to fool the game into thinking it's operating on a LAN while piping the packets through a series of tubes does not change that fact.
>>9939798
It's only online if you're autistic eugh to set up your own VPN and the game can deal with the latency.

You are not a baby boomer retard. RPGcodex is not the whole world nor the "true essence of old Shooters and Strategy games" You are not Twitter nor reddit, but you aren't really that much better, dr dipshit.
