Did you play world e?

>> No.9884064

I remember playing this as a kid on the ride to the hospital to get my dick cut when I was seven. I was so enthralled with this game, I didn't even know what I was getting "surgery" for.

Did you?

>> No.9886431

I tried.

The levels were fucking horrible, like intern's first levels, really bad romhack tier.

Shit like this and the extra content in RPG ports at the time most of which are fucking horrible get meme'd by people and they cry when a subsequent release didn't stain themselves with this shit.
And at the same time quality extra content like in the Saturn version of Castlevania SotN get dismissed. Probably by the same people too.

Uh, what the fuck. Why did they do that?

I'm playing through them right now and think they are actually fun. More challenging than normal Mario levels, and they can do way more with the concepts. Feels like a set of lost levels for an unreleased Mario game.

Plus, I had the America E reader cards as a kid, so getting to experience those mysterious Japanese cards is making the kid in me giddy

Yeah you didn't get the level e-cards back then, no one did. Pretty sure you can't even legitimately too many of them active at once outside of Virtual Console.

Honestly yeah, dunno what people see in them. I think it's more the historical aspect of them being proto-NSMB since it spawned out of SMA5 discussion.
>And at the same time quality extra content like in the Saturn version of Castlevania SotN get dismissed.
Nah that's still mediocre, it's not the holy grail like Saturnfags like to pretend it is but at the same it's not a crime against humanity like IGAfags think it is. The new music is stellar though.

IIRC all Wii U roms were all completely unprotected in the SD card, which is kinda nuts

bought Mario Advance, F-Zero, and Circle of the Moon at GBA launch.
two of those games are some of my all time favorites on the system, while one of them was just not what i needed.
i still have them all, but it Mario Advance was the worst purchase I made for GBA (and i love SMB2)

Yup, you just gotta rename the file and bam. Technically speaking, you owned your own backups that way legally.

>>9887801
Yeah, hence why I'm surprised it even happened because that makes it 100% legal, and very easily at that
But honestly, it should be like that already everywhere else

And for the rest, there's an extractor on github
