1. is not a real mario game so it doesn't count.
2. Get's pretty crazy and difficult. I managed to beat it as kid but I don't think I can do it again.
3. Easy but a flawless game.
4. Same as 2, I don't think I can beat it again. It looks great but maybe not as challenging as 2 if I remember correctly.

advance 2 butchers the OST and the colors are all washed out

3 is overrated and does literally nothing better than world

4 is good but is basically just a port of the all stars version unless you have an e-reader

There are color restoration patches for these. Someone was posting nonsense about upgraded JP GBA screens, it was just showing the games with the SNES color palette hack.

I'm playing it currently. It adds some secret collectable coins in each levels, new effects and a new boss
On the downside, too much hearts (And JUST WHAT I NEEDED!)
I have no other if the others even add something like that, but it's actually minimal-ish
But I suppose it is actually the best version of SMB2USA
Meanwhile, the screen crunch on 3 is pretty bad

3 is perfect for handhelds/cheap emulator boxes that can't run the SNES version. Also feels like the best conversion in general since the brighter colors lend themselves well to the theme of the game
