Freestyling is all about off-beat tempos, and it sounds insane when you play it. It gets a chuckle out of me every time. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but why did they make it like this?

In both Parappa and Lammy it's genuinely easier to get cool in some of the songs than just good
And once you actually get cool rating, you just mash random buttons and there's practically no chance of it dropping

In regular mode the game does occasionally put stars on the backbeats to kind of guide you into a nice freestyle iirc, once you're in cool mode it's all you to keep it going though.
