/vr/ - Retro Games

Phantasy Star is one of the best early RPGs, still. I rank it up with the original Final Fantasy. Still very intuitive and smooth to play, I just replayed it for the 10th or 11th time the other day. Locations feel iconic, the music is memorable. Story is simple but manages to feel a bit distinct. It's my favourite MS game.

I beat Wonder Boy 3 last week and adored it. Only have that a few others, really need to build my collection up. Any recommendations similar to Wonder Boy 3 would be appreciated.

My controller's not in great shape so I ended up using my 8bitdo Genesis 6 button which made the experience so much better. Shame the Start/Pause button is on the console itself and not the controller, don't know wtf Sega was thinking making that design choice.
