Colors themselves are wrong think and can inspire too much in a man, so they’re slowly trying to mute colors to suppress your creative will to live. Sega tried to warn us, the Dreamcast’s optimistic late 90s early 2000s sci-fi solar punk futuristic optimism was a last gasp of the collective zeitgeist against these sinister tendrils below our society, and while it fought valiantly it failed. The sky still looks beautiful where I live, especially since there's practically no light pollution here. The sunsets here are gorgeous. The haze 'has' always existed, but now its pollutive properties has embedded itself with a lot of natural elements in the world around us. That isn't to say 'fog' isn't natural either, fyi. Just that the nature of the haze has evolved more over time. Even the quality of rainfall is changing across Europe. We don't even get that much snow anymore either with farm's over in Italy suffering very badly, even when its not drought related. All because the sunlight is getting filtered out through the dissipation of this haze.
Its pretty similar to microplastics in that manner.

fish still isn't safe to eat. mercury poisoning from tuna is still a problem despite the improvements.

The Great Barrier reef also suffered severe acidic damage a few years ago too, despite the claimed ""reduction"" of pollution in ocean waters.
And if these global elites gave enough of a damm, we wouldn't be having Luxury Liners floating around the place constantly, and would have used more alternative means of fuel for transport across the skies.
And for all their talk about "Green" cars, Lithium batteries are in many ways, worse for the environment than old diesel and petrol cars.

You're talking about a completely different geographical zone now. But the Great Barrier reef has been dying for decades

As for the rest I'm not sure what to reply to that, seems besides the point. Maybe if I were arguing that the reduction of pollution in Europe had anything to do with reducing carbon emissions then sure, but I'm not. Nor am I claiming that elites particularly care about the issue other than to chase clout and to create new markets that they fully control.

Well I'm not sure what we're arguing because my whole argument revolves around pollution not being as serious as it was before, at least not in Europe. I agree that we have different types of issues now, I wouldn't say they're as serious to the environment, but they do have real effects on humans like certain types of plastics causing infertility and of course the amount of microplastics in everything.
