>Season 27: Episode 1 (#357) "That legend" premieres on Thursday, April 27th.

I hope it's Link's Awakening. A two parter Zelda would be a nice opening for the season. For those saying: they did Zelda 2 years ago, yes that's a valid concern. They might be trying to speed up going through the series. They could challenge Majora's Mask in 2-3 years and then there's still a few more big Zelda games to takel over the next decade.

Next big guess is a Seiken Densetsu game. The first GB one would be a nice quick challenge.

Summer is considered spooky time for Japan right? Challenging one of the 3DO horror games might work. Wolfenstein 3D on the 3DO is a solid port, and would work for a FPS game. How long to beat though?

The only difference is that it's such a small production and everyone ends up on screen at some point. The whole show is very low budget. I introduced a friend to this series, not sure if they would like it or not. They ended up really enjoying it, mostly due to Arino's charismatic and positive vibe. I think they also really like the variety segments and seeing games they're not familiar with. I remember Atomic Runner really stood out to him as a super difficult looking game and it was fun to watch Arino slowly master it.
It's been some time since I got to enjoy the series, I might jump back in soon now that I finished playing LoZ Ocarina of Time. I'll watch that season, it looks like a good'un.

>> No.9828867

I'm going through the subbed episodes in order (I'm halfway through S4) now, and being an AD for this show looks like an absolutely grueling job. Very chill and enjoyable show though. I thought I would get frustrated at how unbelievably shitty Arino is at some games like Doki Doki Panic (or most things that aren't puzzles), but I don't.

They did one for a DVD bonus. They're starting to get into the GBA era.

There's one more Detective Joboru for the FC, then the next games in the series are PlayStation. I'd love to see more of these Saturn/PlayStation era adventure and detective titles since they have much more solid art.

Are the Twilight Games actual adventure titles or are they just inter-active movies? Those could be fun as well.

>>9823307
>Anyone else getting a bit tired of the famicom jank?

I think the staff is too, which is why half of last season was Mega Drive Jank. Famicom Jank is the show's bread and butter, and what people expect so it's never going away.

> I'd like to see him play more 5th and 6th gen games especially N64.

start by watching episodes of games you've played a lot/really liked, and then start going chronologically. You can skip season one, it's basically a different show when they hadn't figured out the format yet

It seems like they really have to play a game a shit ton of times until they've mastered them and become bored (location scouting). But the "AD pulls an all nighter" parts are probably just dramatic effect.

They most likely got the (good) endings during the location scouting and saved the footage.
