The D-pad that caresses your finger tips and responds like a woman to your softest suggestion. The 6 buttons that were there when you needed them. We all knew about those things. But when the wily Japanese, after a night on the sake in Kabukicho, decided on the pink highlights to a porcelain shell, just like the accents on the naked curves of Mai-chan the hostess from Bar 1260, that's when it became a done deal. 2D perfection.

It is worse than the black Saturn model 2 controllers
They use worse membranes and the triggers are mouse clicks

>> No.9825971

It's almost perfect although I don't like the XYZ buttons, they hurt my thumb after a while especially with fighting games. It feels like hitting beans. Should have been the same size but different shape, more like the ACB buttons but small, or like the N64's c buttons.

I think some people like that. Xbox keeps using them for a reason.

Is the retro-bit one any good or nah? Was thinking of picking it up for some 2D games

retro-bit has very good quality sega controllers

I would only recommend their Genesis controllers, specially the 8-button one. They feel firm and you can confidently press the buttons without worrying about misinputs. Their Saturn controllers feels really mushy and is only better than the billions of chink knock-offs.

>> No.9826581

I only have the retrobit one and it has the clicky shoulders. Really they just hit run of the mill button components on the inside. So I'm not sure how the black American one would feel any different unless the shoulders are somehow completely different inside

Yeah the Genny ones are killer imho

Super ergonomic, really don't need more than 3 buttons for most games, and its very "aesthetic" as the kids say.

I kind of favor the Puyo Puyo Fever orange on white better for the controller.

>>9825971
While I do not mind, I would prefer if the XYZ were the same size as the ABC buttons as well. They were made convex to give a distinction on feel, so that is not much an issue to me.
