ive tried playing thru this game and got about 2-3 hrs in and just stopped playing. no idea why but im sure its a great game and the cast of charactors fun.

It looks pretty but the combat is generally boring and the shitload of characters actually gets in the way of telling a focused satisfying story on a character level, which by that time it was established as the winning formula for a JRPG.
That said, I can't say it's a bad game; it just generally feels like a missed opportunity because of the talent involved.

I always get melancholic when i remember Chrono Cross.
I played this game to fill the hole Chrono Trigger left in my heart, but instead it made the hole bigger.
I wished to know about Schala's fate, but at the same time i got the answer, i got a ton of new questions, especially about Lavos.
To me it seems like the game was left incomplete, with tons of cut content.
I wish Chrono Break had been made.

The Japanese attacks have no mentioning of voodoo so it looks like he was localized to Americanized voodoo ("Louisiana voodoo") but it's pretty much the same concept so whatever. Overall it's a change for the better.
