based. i put blue teack on the button that makes the disc spin and swap discs at the psx logo screen and most burned games worked. good times as a kid looking up youtube videos of people showing you how to play copied games and modding the console.

i bought one of these from block busters and i couldn't load past the first level of doom. never understood why people wanted these, the only thing i could see usefull is the small size makes it easier to put in a backpack or store away in a drawer. never had a problem with the original, well nothing like the problems i had with the little gay ps1

Except those are time bombs for extended use of CDs and have inferior video quality. The only good thing about the 100X is the audio, but no one cares for that as long as it's good enough.
SCPH-550X is the sweet spot.
