ESWAT: City Under Siege is pretty good. The first two levels are standard, then the third level is neat because you get the power suit. The fourth level is bad because you can't even use your power suit to its fullest, and stage five is amazing with what the level forces you to do with the suits flying capabilities.

That's a tall order. Rocket Knight Adventures and Sonic 1 are excellent. Then would I pick something like Contra Hard Corps or Shadowrun? The Genesis and the PS1 are probably the two consoles I'd never want to be limited om what games I'd play.

Recently I beat Jewel Master which was a great game. Loved the mixing and matching elemental rings. Sometimes on another play through I found a more effective ring power to use to make my way in a section like the short ranged fire burst on the first part of the ice stage.

I also beat Cadash which was surprisingly easy after you grapple around with the black pudding boss. Short and sweet action game that you journey across the country.

I'm unsure what I'll really pour my time into next. I might suck it up and do my journey through Ecco: The Tides of Time since I just got to the Tube of Medusa, or I can try to beat Alissia Dragoon which I was able to get to the stage 6 boss. Maybe Super Hang-On or Road Rash.

Shadowrun but with a patch that mods the gameplay (closer to 2nd edition handbook) and fixes the hand-to-hand combat bug. It’s just so muck fukn fun! I’ve beaten it non-modded many times over 20+ years but this actually makes it even better! All other Shadowrun games are bogus compared to it.

It does not matter how impressive it is. If its not playable, then its not playable. I have a potential fix though, handle the movement of the player sprite separately to the rest of the game. Sprite based systems are perfectly suited to this kind of hack, since the gpu itself is always running at 60fps, and to move a single sprite just requires writing a few bytes of video memory.

The Mega Drive is actually the weakest Sega home console, but most people with taste already know that. There's a reason the console was constantly on life support from the CD addon to the 32x. It just couldn't compete with the other options on the market at the time.

Nice bait, it's THREE TIMES faster than the SNES. Mega Drive games consistently do effects the SNES could only dream of, and modern homebrew efforts have only shown that it is even more capable than we previously believed.

It's ironic how Americans tend to have the worst takes and the most surface level understanding of the Mega Drive despite it being more successful over there than anywhere else.

That's just Nintendies. They hold multi decade, multi generational grudges against anything that isn't Nintendo. Personally I've been playing a bunch of Genesis games last year and this one. This year alone I've beaten The Revenge of Shinobi, McDonalds Treasure Land Adventure, Batman: The Video Game, Jewel Master, Aladdin, Moonwalker, Cadash, Taz-Mania, Jurassic Park and Rampage Edition, Outrun 2019, and somehow made it through the other side of Ecco the Dolphin. The Genesis is easily my favorite console, and I still have many games to play and beat on it.
