>found some interesting stuff about the origin of Kakariko Village's name. I was reading about chickens on Wikipedia which says that in French, a chicken's cry is rendered as "kokoriko." Perhaps they called the village "Kakariko" is a distortion of that. They could have gotten away with calling it "Kokoriko Village" since it's a village full of cuccos, but that would have been a bit too obvious, so they went with Kakariko Village.

that's what I thought it was at one point, because of how hard it was to tell on that tiny, dark gba screen. but it's job. snow joe as a level name just doesn't make too much sense or fit in any way. with job, besides the term, I also thought it was a vague reference to Snow Biz from Crash 2.
