Just lost half an hour of progress in this piece of shit game, because Mr. Nintendo is that stingy with save stations

hostile alien planets should be threatening

If you make sure that this never happens again then it's good design. Game caught you slipping that's all

I don't even understand how you can die in Metroid Prime, it's so piss easy until you unlock hard mode. Unless you're like intentionally not getting e-tanks.

Why do people post about losing to games that 10 year old children finished? Are they that unaware of their own retardation? How do they function at work? How do they feed and dress themselves? Do they use speech-to-text because their fingers clearly don’t work properly

Oh no not half an hour!!!
Also, how did you die in the literal easiest game known to man.

Calm down you sissies, I went back and redid everything in like half the time
I didnt think you guys would take it that seriously anyway, I played SMT V last year and that game had me lose ten times the progress this game has

>Just lost half an hour of progress
it really wasn't a half hour of gameplay though.
the devs placed the save stations properly, so your second time through to get back to where you were at will be nothing.

Oh no, 30 minutes!
I lost about an hour of slow progress through Magmoor, checking everywhere for secrets, because I beefed a jump and couldn’t get out of the lava while it just sucked up my four tanks. It took me half that time to do it over because I had already done it once. You’ll be fine.

I think modern games really acclimate you to be unfamiliar with failure. It took me a long time to not be overly frustrated with getting a game over when I came back to retro games.

If you could save anywhere, there would be zero motivation to actually use your fucking brain with you approach enemies, conserve ammo, and make real decisions about what to do next. Some of you twerps are so fucking spoiled by find-a-fuck-buddy-and-save-anywhere RPGs.

Phazon mines?

That shit is the singular instance I can distinctly remember child me fucking begging for a save point in a game; spent so long fighting through those scary invisible pirates only to end up against... what were they, a pirate elite? With a sliver of health and not a chance in hell of coming out alive.

Back in a time when I was limited to four hours of gaming friday, saturday, and sunday only. Agonizing. That little alley leading to the sole save point at the start is burned into my mind.
