how the fuck do you play rondo of blood on modern pcs ?
I've tried emulating the PSP remaster but it freezes when you unlock the original gamemode and I don't own a PS4/5 so I can't just buy the requiem re-release.
plebbit and old forums have no answer.
do you just emulate a turbographix 16 ?
is there even a emulator that works on modern windows ?
I really want to play it again bro's.

There's plenty of emulators for Turbografx CD on windows and macOS that run extremely well. Mednafen is usually the go-to.

No idea on if it works with Retroarch, although it's pretty trivial to get mednafen working especially if you use a GUI. If it's easier, you could also emulate the virtual console version via Dolphin.

The extra bosses&phase are so good, glad one of them (altAnnette) got a second life in Grimoire of Souls.

People like to shit on the graphics but they're not horrible. Most people look at resized screenshots from emulation instead of an actual PSP screen so textures look worse than they actually are. Also, they made many cool backgrounds with depth effects, while the original Rondo has many lazy bricked walls.
Other than the extra bosses and phases (they absolutely made the Dracula fight much better with the new phase), levels are also redesigned for the better, best example being stage 5b.
And the custom soundtrack too, a great addition.
Boss rush mode is also very challenging, kept me entertained for a while until I could finally beat it and unlock that final music track I was missing.
It's really a great experience that most people miss because "muh ugly 3D, muh exotic japanese PC Engine CD game!!". Original Rondo is great and, overall I still prefer it, because I love 2D graphics, but honestly the remake fixes stuff from the original.

Doesn't mean that's a good outfit in any way, shape or form. You know, since Cammy is an army girl, better yet Mi6, she should at least have an attire that emphasizes it, not some shitty hooker shit you color it green and call it the day. At least in Sf5 (not Retro) they slightly tried to improve it by adding a couple tactical belts and a holster but it's still awkward. SF6 (NOT RETRO) on the other hand, completely nailed the civilian modern Cammy attire even though she no longer looks an active troop.

My point is, Cammy should had have since SF2 what she wears in her Sf5 story mode, a military uniform with an extra tight pant (for the coomer money since that's what sells a female character in video games) OR... Since we're on the "Army girl"... Look at Sonya Blade (irony lol, Cammy very rival) who absolutely nailed it in every MK between being sexy and a soldier looking fighter.

By the way, here's Cammy's SFV Story mode skin, aka the best skin Cammy ever made for her in the series. It's perfect on so many levels.
