Can't be dealing with old RE due to realistic spiders. RE4 is when they figured out some people have phobias and started doing stylized spiders that I can deal with, prior to that every RE game is annoying to play because spiders may be rare but tend to pop out randomly and that just makes the entire experience uncomfy

I mostly play REmake because I've become fairly casual and it's the only game available on Steam.
I wish video games were treated the way movies are. Movies a century old will still get remastered and re-released on modern formats. With video games, if a game is more than ~15 years old, chances are nobody will do anything with it, and if it's had a remake then the original will be abandoned forever.

Rereleasing old movies is significantly less work than remaster/remaking games. People coomed themselves every time a movie get remastered to a slightly higher resolution format. Gamers would cry and piss themselves if the remaster didn't replace most assets.

RE1 because it's so braindead easy that I can beat it with my eyes closed. RE3 is still my favorite of the PS1 games, but it it's also the hardest, so I only really play it when I'm in a RE marathon mood.

REmake adds new rooms and entire new areas. The dialogue is largely re-written and better acted as well, though I still prefer the hilariously over-the-top and poorly translated lines of the original.

eventhough every og game from trilogy are amazing, I think the one that I replayed the most its 2 because the raccoon doomed CITY and its setting has the best enviroments of them all.
