I apologize if this game has been discussed to death, but I just played LSD: Dream Emulator for the first time.

Let's have a discussion about it. What were your experiences with it?

Pic related: I took this just a few minutes ago as I played for the first time. I think it says everything there is to say about the game.

Seriously, the creepy element of this game is how you can walk around in the world exploring, as you do in real life, except in the game, crazy shit happens.

Unless you're a diver or something, it just wouldn't be the same kind of creepy.

Excuse me if this is common knowledge;
Right now I’m playing LSD Dream Emulator and you know
when the dream ends it shows you that map thing? Well instead of going to the menu, the boxes started glowing green one by one, and now is just showing movie after movie and I can’t exit out of it. Did I activate the movie player or something? It's literally just showing movie after movie and I cannot escape from it.

I have always wanted to like this game but the draw distance, walking sounds and like less than ten places to visit just kills it for me. How am I supposed to play for 50+ dreams when it seems like the only new thing that ever happens after a certain point is an occasional texture change? And walking in the natural world, when seriously like 90% of the screen is just blank white fog. Unbearable

part of what I found most fun with LSD was figuring out the logic in it, not unlike my experiences with actual LSD. Because as "random" as everything seems, there are in fact specific chains of logic and patterns that will take an input and produce a very specific and singular response, the trick is just to figure out what all the qualifying features of those scenarios are. Treat it like a science experiment, putting yourself in situations in which there are identifiable variables and constants. If you act upon a damn near identical prompt a second time and the game hands you a different outcome that means something's not as constant as you thought, or there's a variable at work that you weren't thinking of and taking into consideration.

Does the same wall always send you to the same place? Does it differ based on the day? How about based on the textures in place? What about the amount of time you've spent in the dream? What triggers the red, white, and blue flashes? Which colored flashes indicate downer-vs-upper, neutral, or static-vs-dynamic? If you want to aim for a specific spot on the post dream graph (I aim for the eyes and mouth) can you do it? The dots on the graph get more solid white the more repeated dreams hit the same mark. Is there significance to it? etc...

I've played it for 30 days and not really a lot is happening. It's just the same locations with the same randomised content. I'm finding it pretty repetitive.

I've been playing for over than 100 days(not in one sitting ofcourse), and it got to a point where the maps are all colorfull and full of kanji on the walls and floors. But other than that, it's pretty much the same thing.
The problem for me is that the coolest areas rarely appear, like the city with the dead people, and this one place that looks like the insides of a person, with sumos wrestlers in it and shit.
I don't recomend playing it for more than an hour anyway.

What? If you're into someone 3 or less years younger than you it's not pedophilia, in case you're thinking that simply attraction to anyone under 18 is the qualification. Pedophilia deals with the attraction to prepubescents (kids yet to go through puberty) by postpubescents, not whether or not someone is legal.
I'm assuming you're a high schooler who throws around the word a lot without knowing quite what it means.When I was in grade 10 our class douchebag started spreading rumors that I was a pedophile because he heard I liked someone a grade below me.
