a long time ago, someone posted a "lets play", or something, of a sonic-playthrough but it was really relaxing. i think it was another version of the game with an "easy" mode. does anyone know what im talking about? i cant find it, and would really like to see it again

same dude also did an amazing fake-lp series of "sonic 2 special edition" which is pretty hilarious.

Sonic Jam had a Sonic 1 Easy Mode, and this guy from a forum pulled it out of the game or something like that

as to why, well you could buy the game and plop your kid in front of it

Nigga I beat sonic 1 when I was 5.
If I ever let any kid o mine play that and is dumb enough to not being able to beat what little challenge it offers then I would be seriously considering his or her options for the future and being up their shoulders in school because if they can't solve a simple bunch of "puzzles" then clearly something is wrong.

Kids today can't handle retro vidya.

My niece and nephew get conquered by the fact that Super Mario Bros. doesn't constantly reward and coddle them within about fifteen minutes.

Me too, it was just an expression.
Though that kind of therapy gets a bit on my nerves though, how silly it is.

>get to the credits
>they changed the gameplay segments to show the easy mode layouts
>Robotnik's only juggling four emeralds

It's kinda cool they took the time to do that. I did notice, though, you have four emeralds, but only five chances to get them, whereas the original game has twelve chances for six, so maybe it's a little harder, especially since you can't try to make the most of the chances you get in early zones.

Any other games that actually make games different for easy mode? Things like trampolines instead of bottomless pits? Too many games just think all the difficulty is in the fighting and all their puzzles should be solvable by everybody so they pump the HP and damage up while the enemies are the same dumb shit.
No, give me easy mode where the character can float after jumping, normal where he's just superhuman, and hard where you have to time throwing a grappling hook to get anywhere. Give me a hack 'n' slash where I fight schoolgirls on Easy, yakuza on Normal and demons on Hard.

Makes me think, you could have an easy mode version of a jumping puzzle that's half as long because there's a rope halfway up that you grab on to and climb up the rest of the way. If you want to play easy mode still but do the full jumping puzzle, you get a butter item you can equip on your fingers to disable rope grabbing.

It's like he's trying to be a "Quiet storm" DJ, but ends up more Bob Ross.
