Wave Race is a lot of fun, despite that a lot of people think it's worse than 64. Chibi-Robo is pretty good. Pikmin 1 and 2 are very good, especially 2. Animal Crossing is a given. Symphonia is good. Baten Kaitos games are great. Soul Calibur 2 is good. Prime 1 and 2 are a given. Star Fox Assault is underrated and a lot of fun. I have Bomberman Generations sealed, but it and its "sequel", Jetters, is supposedly pretty good. Heard a lot of good things about TimeSplitters 2 if you (like me) love GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. Everyone loves MMX: Command Mission, but I thought it was kind of mediocre with some cool ideas and characters in it (the GCN version adds stuff that the PS2 version doesn't have, supposedly). RE4 is supposed to be best-looking on GC. Pokemon Colosseum is somewhat mediocre (cool story, though). Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness is much better. SSX series is supposed to be pretty good. Lost Kingdoms (both, though I only played the first) is fun. Lastly, PSO Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution (and its predecessors, PSO Eps I & II Plus) is an absolute must-play and extremely fun.

Prime 2 aged like fine wine and desu nowadays I think it might be a better game than prime 1 but prime 1 was a huge achievement because of the 2002 release date and the perfection of super transitioned to 3D - but PRIMEHACK with keyboard and mouse is the way to play it in 2023.

What Jank remapping? B->[] A->X Y->Triange X->Circle works better than actual gamecube controller.
Main issue is lack of octagon gate for games that use it.
Triggers are also a bit of an issue, but I prefer modern controllers overall.

I like to play different approaches to controller design. For my first time should I play Prime with Prime hack using keyboard and mouse or should I try GC controls?
I think GC controls seem interesting enough but don't want to spoil the game with weird original control schemes.

That isn't as comfortable for games where you press A and Y or A nd X simultaneously though or quickly have to go from one to the other. On the GC controller you can just tilt/slide your thumb ever so slightly. It's still possible of course, but a little less ergonomical.

There are cases like Viewtiful Joe where main buttons becomes X and Y button which are less comfortable than circle shaped buttons in my opinion.
