On a more serious note, I believe "Zero Mission" is meant to be like "Patient Zero" or "Ground Zero," basically a way to say "This is where it all started, everything in my life today can be traced back to this mission." It's just a turn of phrase, not an actual mission number.

AM2R is better than both. While the counter button allows you to play like an aggressive moron, I don't think the counter button damaged the remake as bad as their checkpoint placement did, it encouraged you to play like a dipshit and spam deaths at every fight instead of playing carefully. Both of these issues are greatly amplified in dread to the point that that one barely feels like a metroid game, so it's hard for me to remain rational about the 3DS game even if it isn't as bad.

I thought it was great. I didn't like how repetitive some of the areas can get, but aside from that, it's one of the best Game Boy games I've played and each playthrough was fun. The finale is impressively atmospheric for something on the Game Boy.

The fuckhuge sprite ruins the game. People complain about MM7 but that's nothing compared to this, Samus is like 1/3 of the screen. Absurd

Satoru Okada. He was pissed that Yokoi left him at Nintendo and started working with Bandai on the Wonderswan. To make sure it didn't have a destabilizing effect on the GBC Okada had him killed. Afterwards the GBA was rushed out to beat the SwanCrystal, and Bandai dropped the entire project.

The game is perfectly designed for handheld play. Poke around an area for a few minutes in between things, kill a metroid or two, save and turn it off. Thats the best way to experience, not replaying it in one go.
