So I picked up Secret of Mana on ebay for my SNES I got recently. It's always recommended for the system and on all the great SNES lists so figured I better give it a shot. Popped it in and now I am in love.

I think this is my favorite adventure ever. I love the music, the graphics, the gameplay itself and the journeying. I can't believe I haven't played this before.

So like... Secret of Mana thread?

Only the 200th one.

I don't like it. New characters start at level one and you have to grind them, AI is retarded and they constantly get themselves killed, the menu system is a pain to navigate...

Get a multitap and 2 friends and the game will be even better.

inb4 you don't have any friends

First RPG I ever played @ 8 years old back when it came out. Still own it and my SNES. One of my favorites of all time.

also lol @ faggot complaining about having to grind, it's a JRPG from 1993 what the fuck do you expect.

You'd be surprised.

Snes9x and Zsnes have netplay functions. Pretty sure there are people here on /vr/ who'd be down to play through it with you.

Secret of Mana is so good you can get your wife to play it with you.

Believe it or not, that's what I did. Fun as shit bro.
Although, we both got busy playing other stuff and never picked up back up after reaching the dwarf's village. Might eventually start it back up.

My dad, who's now in his fifties and only plays snood and mahjong, beat Secret of Mana, and he was pretty bad at English too. Good times.

Just remembered this again, a few months ago I fired it up again to play it with a bro, and found out some cunt friend of my sister wiped my dads' old save file, so he could start over. He played it for <1 hour, and ignored the 3 other < 3h playtime saves...

>Co-op with bros in 5th grade
>Game stops every 10 seconds because someone pulls up the menu ring

Aside from that, great game.
Even grinding for the Level 9 Weapon orbs in the Mana Fortress
