Does this game have anything like a village where you can interact with NPCs and just chill? Otherwise this really just looks like it lacks what Rockstar games should have, just shooting throughout the entire game without a bit of an open loop is lame

I've only played Red Dead Rapist. It was ok. Instead of dead eye it had spread eye where you spread your brown eye at the enemies but it wasn't as effective

Yeah, it's good fun if you like westerns. Nice to see how the series evolved from there after take two bought the game basically from a company who just couldn't get it working. Dead Mans Hand also a good if you like westerns, no idea if its retro.

What's the difference between the xbox and the ps2 version?

I tried to play through Red Dead Revolver multiple times as a kid and every time I got somewhere around the levels where you play as a native American (not entirely sure it was this part, may have been after it) my save file on my memory card (PS2) would corrupt. Is this something known about the PS2 version of the game?

Game is actually really fun, though.

Anyway, RDRevolver is a majorly underrated, arcadey shooter that is hella fun and has an absurdly detailed multiplayer mode. The story isn’t high art, but it’s functional and the voice acting is passable. For real, though— it’s a goddamn good game. I’m genuinely surprised that it didn’t get more attention during release.

8/10, but the last boss is horrendous. It easily qualifies for deducting 4 points from the score, so overall, it's a 4/10 game. It's normal to deduct one or two points from the final score due to minor facts that have major impact in the overall enjoyment, but that last boss is one of the worst such "shit cherries" in the history of video games.

So 4/10 it is. RDR is 4/10 all around though, it's just a shit game, plain and simple. It's too focused on being a le ebin hardcoar game for hardcoar gamers.

As for what's better particle effects things like that are generally better on PS2. I'm not saying it's the better version I hate PS2's design myself.
Compare sparks in Burnout games between Xbox and PS2. While Xbox version is much better in both cases PS2 has an advantage at things like that, not that it matters much since it's inferior at everything else.

Gun was good for a single playthrough but short and pretty linear overall. Definitely worth it because the game is kino as fuck but once you know where to go the game can be beaten in like 4 hours.

Problem with Gun is that I remember reading it's PC version shit, 360 version the best and than OG Xbox version. Both of those consoles aren't good with emulation.

A LOT of PC ports pre-2010 are terrible.
The only case for PC would be that analog stick aiming had issues in a lot of games back then.
As someone who prefers controllers I prefer PC versions of that era specifically for that.

As for book version vs film version, I don't think it should be a versus.
