I've never seen anyone claim to have beaten Fatal Fury Special's secret boss without gratuitous save state use.
How the hell do you beat SNK AI without losing a single round across 15 matches, some of them bosses and sub-bosses that are cheaper than cheap?

I played the japanese version because of the pretty cool blood effect. Some of the bosses I have to save cheat 10 times so I don't know if I'm supposed to be getting upgrades or somthing because I can't understand the text. Even then I eventually save into a soft lock state on the everdrive. Sometimes you can make cool glitches such as the wrong music and bugged levels if you restore a state at certain points. The game is pretty much a maze game and I guess it was intended that you spend 15 minutes reaching the boss which you would have to reach 10 times before figuring out the pattern. It plays good but its a bit hard for me. Much better than last battle though which is souless.
