All systems soft modded to support piracy except the Xbox which I bought chipped. Pretty surprising what you can do in a budget. damn thats awesome. only thing ive gotten for free was a wii and box of games i saw someone throw it in the electronics bin when i was down the tip so grabbed it quick. they have a tonne of crts down there but theyre kept in a locked cage so you cant just grab them which sucks seen some decent ones there. You can get away with pretty crappy cables if you use c-sync instead of composite video for sync. Audio will be noisy, though, so it's only viable for stuff like the model 1 genesis where you have another option for audio output. The cable I use with my model 1 genesis was like 7 bucks and I cut it open and re-wired it for c-sync and it looks just as good as my other consoles where I'm using official JP21 cables.

He's not wrong though, it can do better than that so I looked into it a little bit. First the picture mode was set to MOVIE which is blurry as shit. Then about the black and white issue, I gave it some thought and realized that for as long as I've had composite cables for the Sega it's always been plugged into a VCR line-in until last October, then I started noticing problems. I hooked the VCR back up and waddaya know, solid color pictures on every boot. Probably a syncing issue that gets magically fixed by the VCR, I'm not sure how but it works.
