Starting with Shun is the absolute worst advice you could possibly give. The first game is absolutely fair while still being challenging, Shun is borderline romhack tier at multiple points (with entire routes being being cockblocked from you by the most bullshit stages in the franchises) while Sayonara is the actual newcomer game since it's fairly casualized (but still has some nasty surprises hidden up its sleeve.
