I just think guest cap should increase proportionate to a ride's length up to like 300 meters. A 300+ length ride gets its full guest draw, an amount shorter gets a proportionally reduced amount of guests to the park as a mini-ride merits. It's the guest cap increase that really breaks microcoasters; as simple moneymakers they're not as massively superior to a coaster with good throughput.

But any sweeping balance changes like this would need to be an optional checkbox for me to be okay with modifying the game so heavily.

Yeah, that's a bald-headed lie. I did the math for shits and giggles. Built a helix stack with a station at top and bottom, took ride length for that segment over number of turns to get circumference and hence radius of curvature: 11.8m. Convert 130kph to m/s and a = v^2/r = 11.2g.

Taking a two-unit (3m) high volume of space to be a cube, a medium turn spans, square-center to square-center, 5 squares for a 15m diameter and 17.7g.

The circular force would be split via bank between lateral and vertical as sides of a triangle - meaning the values obey the pythagorean theorem (a^2+b^2=c^2). So the more conservative/accurate figure of 11g could be softened to something like 7.5g and 8g. Still no bueno.

It bears mentioning that it's a family of tourists in front that are purposefully stopping to look. The analogy of people stuck in traffic is only partly valid. A small familiar group causing a holdup isn't the same as a long line of perfect strangers in gridlock but it's still clear the person in back isn't making the decision. It's autistic rage but not entirely misdirected. But of course the parents aren't going to learn dick about their oblivious fuckbaggery if they're busy comforting the child.

>Hi everyone, we just released OpenRCT2 v0.4.3 “The Golden Age of Ballooning”!
This release is especially notable in terms of content added -the Alpine Coaster vehicle, some extra scenery, new music, and loads of new track elements (some enabled by default, some needing cheats enabled). We also made a start with a system for asset packs. All of these will be discussed in more detail in the next Last Months In OpenRCT2 post, which will hopefully be posted later this month.

On a more serious note, why is it bad? The original complaint in >>9493273 is that jewcoasters are bad because the game is piss easy. Faced with a scenario that is not piss easy the scenario is suddenly badly designed.

And, even if you play by your rules, without cheesing it, the game can be quite hard. I've completed every single scenario building realistic layouts and without cheesing and Rainbow Summit took a couple of attempts.

That's not what they said, you tremendous faggot. They said difficulty isn't an excuse for using them.

RCT is a theme park simulator. They're called scam or jew coasters for a reason. The 'pay us for nothing' gag only worked for traveling shows that bilked a batch of locals and moved on to the next group of rubes. They're antithetical to the game and exist only as a consequence of tuning it to not fuck over legitimate things like small launched/shuttled coasters and family coasters. They're an exploit and make no sense outside of cheesing game systems. That's why they're bad.

>suddenly
You have advanced from tremendous faggot to egregious faggot. That isn't moving the goalposts or 'no that doesn't count!' A scenario that is not only made easier by an exploit but was designed to require an exploit is arguably badly designed. One can make the case that an unintended design consequence (an emergent exploit) can be folded into the game's design as a mechanic, but that hardly applies here. You either know it or you don't and there's no subtlety, cleverness, creativity, etc in doing it.

Now go choke on cocks somewhere else without bothering us.

Went to sleep before seeing your post.

I've beaten "Final Destination".
If you don't know what FD is, it's a tiny patch of land that you don't even own and have to buy the rights to (as in, literally all tiles start off as "buyable").
There is no scenery, no stalls and no rides beyond coasters in this scenario.
You have to achieve a park value of 400,000€.

Unfortunately I don't have the save file anymore, but it wasn't *that* difficult.
I've made a post about it on this general some threads ago if you're really curious.

Honestly, I'd rather have a new set of steel supports. For woodies the vanilla supports are honestly fine, there are CSO that complement the standard supports, if you're autistic you can build cool supports with the wooden post fence and if you really want to you can do fully custom supports like this nerd.
https://www.nedesigns.com/screenshot/7757/bowl/

Something that would be really cool is if the OpenRCT2 team added footers to the existing wooden supports. It shouldn't be too hard and would really improve the look of the supports.

Using fences to make supports is fucking AIDS, though, which I meant to imply more strongly. All I want is a handful more dedicated pieces just like the couple that exist to cover 45-degree track and curves. With those there would be no need to get autistic. Like, in your attached image, wouldn't it be nice if there a fucking corner piece to use on the pre-drop curve instead of just a straight line from the lift hill crashing into it? Or have a tall sloped piece that can be used on a 45-degree hill? Even your linked image only gets 'autistic' by adding concrete pillar objects; there's no actual structural definition to the supports. Ideally it should be possible to make something at least alluding to pic related without tediously crafting a bunch of fucking fences.

Is there a better way to do the fences now anyway? It used to be you had to raise terrain, build, then lower terrain.

There are some diagonal pieces but they are not perfect.

>Is there a better way to do the fences now anyway?
You can manipulate the pieces with the Tile Inspector so there's no need to raise and lower terrain. Also, you can use the scenery manager plugin to copy and save groups of scenery so I guess you could simply build a bunch of autism tier supports and copy paste them. Although this was kinda possible with trainers back in the day as well.

>> No.9496476

>>9496460
I guess I need to hunt them down then. I feel like I might have had them once from a workbench but lost them. The one I'm using now comes with a bunch of useful building CSOs but only has the most basic stock stuff and supports and going through to add groups and pick individual pieces out of thousands is even more tedious.
