You are opening a retro arcade. You can only afford ten cabinets on opening day. Which games do you pick?

pretty based

for me:
sf2t
pac-man (original, not ms)
simpsons arcade 4 player
shadow over mystara 4 player
galaga
daytona 4 player setup (if this counts, otherwise another fighting game)
cyber troopers virtual on vs setup
parodius
die hard arcade
battle garegga

>>9479903
I could give up a SF for that. I'd rather get rid of SF2 but it's probably more appealing to both normals and fgc types than 3rd Strike, I just like 3rd Strike
The neogeo I'd have a harder time letting go of just because of the 4-in-one, but Sunset Riders and Bubble Bobble are glaring oversights in my list... tough one

Time Crisis

Tekken Tag Tournament
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Chronicles of Mysteria
Gauntlet: Dark Legacy

I think the key to success for arcades is to provide things that you can't easily replicate on a home console: Unique controls like light guns, steering wheels/racing pedals, joysticks, etc that the average person wouldn't have, games that thrive on having your opponent in person and a crowd watching you, and games that are best played co-op with friends. The only other problem is that you need to keep getting fresh entertainment with new games or content, but I think that could be solved pretty easily in the modern era of internet connectivity and devs providing updates.

Bro I am a millennial but you're right in some respects in that I flat out had no idea you can do this. I am not the type of retard to build a stupid Meme cabinet anyway since that shit takes up way too much space plus most arcade shit is ok at best.

Honestly I'd rather go to some bar and get wasted and play some arcade machines with people than do it at home hence why I didn't think that people literally connect two machines together.

I've seen some arcade machines do this but didn't think this would be feasible at home.

I'd be more curious if it's easy for the average retard to just easily connect them within the menus without having to really fuck with networking setups etc since probably netplay would just introduce lag etc.

>> No.9480993

>>9480861
Good choice in comparison. Arcade emulation is already peak at this point. No reason paying some gay coomlector Gen X faggot top tier price for an old and probably worn down machine.

Donkey Kong

Pac-Man
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Final Fight
Outrun
Berzerk
Arkanoid
Dig Dug
Tekken

That’s balanced enough to please most people, with one *special* cabinet they won’t find anywhere else, plus the money makers. From there I’d alternate between more money makers and some real games and eventually break into pinball. Selling drinks and cheap pizza and this venture may survive.
