I'm planning on getting an NES Advantage. Which games do you recommend I play it with?

>> No.9453949

>>9453941
i recommend NOT picking it up
its better in your memories
the membrane stick is hot garbage compared to even the shittiest switch-activated joysticks

it makes even simple games like kirbys adventure unplayable, i had one as a kid loved it but times have changed

now you can have a custom sanwa almost for cheaper

Well, I still am

>its better in your memories
I never even freakin' owned one

>the membrane stick is hot garbage compared to even the shittiest switch-activated joysticks
Fuck you

>it makes even simple games like kirbys adventure unplayable
I don't have to play this one. It's not even the right kind of game to use the Advantage with

>now you can have a custom sanwa almost for cheaper
I don't know what the fuck that is, and I'd recommend you don't convince me to get one

Final fantasy 1, Dragon Quest, or any jarpig. This stick sucks for action games. Pick up a joycard if you want a turbo controller

Dragon Spirit is a good pick. Spy Hunter is not a bad choice. Captain Skyhawk is also a really good advantage game.

It's mostly useful for shmups and anything with 8 directional movement like Chubby Cherub.

why would you buy this piece of shit when you could buy a solid arcade stick for the same price

I played everything with mine. Sometimes it was a disadvantage, but I was good at games, so it didn't matter. Takes some getting used to, anon. Play whatever you want. I used to like unscrewing the ball on the joystick.

I got one and I think its pretty fun. The weight of it is pretty cool. I play the classics like megaman, contra, mario, castlevania, gradius, pacman, ext. I really liked Astyanax. You can jump and you can Axe things. It just feels really arcadey. Honestly, most games feel more challenging for sure until you're used to it. I don't take it out too often, but I think its pretty fun for any NES arcade style games. I had to take mine apart and clean it when the select button stopped working. I don't recommend it (tons of stuff to put back in), but they seem like they're built pretty solidly!

I'll also add that it's easier on your hands if you play a lot. The original nintendo controller used to give me cramps and fuck up my thumbs.

A while back I beat Kung Fu and having to hold left/right/down almost the entire game killed my left thumb. I had a literal blister on it, I'm not kidding.

I've had one since I was a kid. tbqh it's crap, just like any "arcade stick" that still just uses rubber membranes rather than switches. In particular, the large A/B buttons often feel like shit because if you don't press them in dead center, they push it in at angle and it's very unsatisfying.
